Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all production activities within the recycle plastics department. This includes ensuring efficient operations, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
  • Monitor production progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely completion.
  • Establish and implement quality control procedures to ensure that recycled plastic products meet specified standards.
  • Inspect finished products and identify any defects or non-conformances.
  • Supervise and motivate production staff to achieve optimal performance.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts promptly.
  • Monitor production performance per shift, daily, monthly.
  • Check production records daily.
  • Monitor shift leader performance and check parameters.
  • Check work in progress and cleanliness of the line.
  • Check record forms and daily input/output.
  • Monitor KPI progress and review production employee KPIs.
  • Check production data and monitor HSE for production members.
  • Monitor consumable levels in work in progress area.
  • Ensure daily overall checking to meet production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Promote a safe work environment and encourage employees to follow safety protocols.
  • Schedule and oversee regular maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor equipment usage and identify any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Implement measures to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement changes to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes and equipment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar role.
  • Experience in the plastics recycling industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
