Job Description

EHS specialist is responsible for ensuring full compliance with legal requirements in occupational safety and environment and controlling health and safety issues for workers, managing occupational safety incidents.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Identify hazards, conduct specific risk assessments and promote near misses reporting and advise preventive control measures (daily basis).
• Manage contractor & visitors’ activities/ installation and organize permit to work.
• Conduct the training to associates of employees, customers and contractors as per training analysis.
• Conduct awareness training course of EHS for newcomers, refreshment training of that for all employees regularly.
• Investigate causes of accidents/incidents and recommend actions to prevent risk of occurrence.
• Maintain & continuous improvement of EHS system.
• Coordinate with managers and supervisors on EHS responsibilities.
• Inspect the workplace regularly.
• ISO, FSSC, GRS, SMETA & HALAL compliance.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable standards (ISO, FSSC, GRS, SMETA, HALAL, etc.) to support a safe workplace and sustainable operations.

Job Requirements

• University graduate (Safety or Environment field is preferred).
• Minimum 3 years' related health and safety experience in Manufacturing.
• Certificate in occupational health and safety. Certification in FSM (Fire Safety Manager).
• Abilities to solve environmental problems such as water and air pollution, waste disposal.
• And public health issues Monitoring and data collection of water and wastewater quality, air quality, noise & vibration level and soil quality.
• Be knowledgeable about Microsoft office, must have Communication skills, People Relations, People Management.
• Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
